What’s Andrew Jenkinsons latest news for 2004?
What
is planned for Jenkinsons Caravan World?
Good
news for those who are fans of Andrews books, because they will be pleased to
hear of a new book project for 2004. Not one for letting the grass grow under
his feet Andrew starts work at the end of January on his new caravan book. This
is a history of the micro/small caravan, concentrating on caravans up to a
maximum body length of 11ft. Folding caravans such as the Portafold will be
included along with the famous Fisher touring caravans.
The
book promises lots of photographs and informative text. This will be a
one-volume history book covering from the early 1920’s to the present day.
Publication dates are yet to be confirmed, but September is a likely date and it
will be in the same format as Andrews other history books. For progress on the
new book keep checking this web site!
Andrew
will also add a page of best buys for 2004 – Andrew will give his new best buy
tourer and give a short write up on each one. Not only this but Andrew will be
doing a road test of a used tourer for the end of February so watch this space.
Andrew's name continues to be in all the major UK caravan/motorhome publications. Check out Andrews Weird & Wacky in Practical Caravan, and What’s My Van? Andrew also does used reports for Practical Caravan and general industry news as well as special features.
Just
over a year ago Andrew was asked to cover budget used caravans by Caravan
Magazine, another regular feature named Cheap as Chips, in which he searches
dealers forecourts to find a bargain buy for under £1500. Andrew also does special
features for Caravan Magazine including new caravan road tests.
Caravan Life was the first magazine that Andrew wrote for, back in 1992, he comes back to Life checking out used buys.
Andrew also writes for Caravan Mart to, again covering used caravans and motorhomes as well as his special used feature called The Caravan Doctor.
Motor
Caravan magazine is another one of Andrew's outlets, covering used buys and also
special features. Andrew also writes for Motorhome Monthly, and Practical
Motorhome and Which Motor Caravan. Used buys and also special features, so
Andrew Jenkinson will be as usual keeping a high profile in both the motorhome
and touring caravan industry.
If
you’re going to visit the NEC Caravan and Boat show in February then look out
for Andrew! He will be at the show in two capacities, first as a journalist but
also to help sell and promote his new products. Andrew will be wearing his logo
on his shirt so if you see him say hello!
Andrew
Jenkinson says; A big thanks for everyone who has contacted me to tell me how
they have enjoyed the books, also a big thanks to David Hayes who has further
developed Jenkinsons Caravan World as well as setting up my second web site
Caravan Motorhome Memorabilia. David has had to work to tight schedules but
always manages to deliver the goods. Finally I hope that visitors can feel free
to let me know their views on the sites.
Thanks
you all again and please feel free to say hello if you see me on site with my
tourer.
Best
wishes
Andrew

Andrew has been working on a new project for a US publishing company, which will further strengthen Andrew's name, because this publication company has extensive coverage in Europe too. All will be revealed as soon as the project is finished but until then it’s all hush hush!
